It seems that every yard has a soggy spot or low place that is the last place to dry out after a rain. Forget about growing grass. Plant some of these instead:
Arborvitae (Thuja occidentalis)
Canadian hemlock (Tsuga canadensis)
Highbush blueberry (Vaccinium corymbosum)
Hollies (Ilex species)
Scarlet elder (Sambucus pubens)
Sweet Bay Magnolia (Magnolia virginiana)
