Question From: E. Stinson - MICHIGAN
Q: I have several African Violets that are not blooming. None of them have bloomed in more than a year. I use Schultz African Violet Plus each time that I water each of the violets. They are located next to a window on the west side of my bedroom. Normally I would not locate them next to a west facing window but I have a forest behind the house and that window get little if none direct sunlight. The trees are hardwoods that are 60-90 ft tall and they are within 15 ft of the house. .
A:
Plants usually fail to flower due to lack of sun and/or too much fertilizer. I'd cut back on the fertilizer and consider getting a light stand for your violets. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy .
