Q: Have three barberry rockets. I put Jobe's spikes around each. The barberries soon (all 3) started getting curling leaves and dead areas. I quickly pulled spikes and I am hoping the shrubs revive. Any comments? Oh, I live in Western Oregon.
A: I have heard of this happening but have not experienced it because I do not and would not use this product. The chemicals are salt based and may have burned the roots. Best to irrigate the area around the shrubs where the stakes were inserted and be patient. They may leaf out again. Keep the soil moist but not soggy through out the year. Good Luck Nancy
