Q: I have a Blue Spruce shrub that has bare branches and brown dropped needles underneath and within but new growth on top. Any thoughts?
A: Could be any of a number of diseases compounded by stress caused by weather. If it were my tree I would have an onsite inspection from a tree doctor - a certified arborist. If the tree is large and needs spraying there is no way you can do an effective job with a home sprayer. Timing is important so get the inspection asap. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
