Q: Hi, my beautyberry gets lots of blooms, but no purple berries. It is 4' tall and wide. What do I need to do to get berries?
A: Pruning hard too early in the season. and drought will cause them to go dormant. Planting in an exposed area will also prevent them from blooming. I consider them marginally hardy here in Michigan, Best Nancy and Happy Yardeing.
