Q: My Boston ivy got lots of brown spots and I think got a fungus. Will this affect the plant next year? Is there anything I should do during the winter? Thank you.

A: My guess is it's lack of moisture. Be sure to clean up and dispose of all the leaves and if you see any sign of damage in spring spray it with a fungicide. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
