Question From: M. Correia - New Market, Alabama, United States
Q: We've had a dry summer, and I haven't kept up with watering. My butterfly bush and a few rose bushes have sprouted tiny leaves. Will they come back normal when regular watering resumes? Or do I need to cut them back, or dig them up and throw them away? Is something else going on with them?
A: I can't give you a pat answer. I would wait until spring to do any dirty deeds. I cut roses back when I see new buds emerging. The same with Butterfly bush, Do give them a good watering now and through fall to send them off to sleep happy. Best Nancy and Happy Yarding
