Can Coneflowers Be Planted In the Fall

Question From: S. Angell - NEW HAMPSHIRE
Q: Is it okay to plant coneflowers in the Fall? I live in New Hampshire. The temperatures are relative to what they should be for spring planting. Thanks!

A:

You can plant coneflowers in fall. Be sure to keep them watered and plant them sooner rather then later so they have several weeks to become established. Do not fertilize - I use Liquid Kelp and Super Thrive when I plant. Happy Yardening Nancy
