Q: i just started a new lawn about 2 wks ago however i want to add more grass seed is it too late? do i need to retill my lawn

Your grass seed will not germinate until the soil reaches 55 degrees in the top inch or so you probably have lots of time. Do not roto-till or you will bury the seed. When you see the news grass tips emeging, spread more seed and cover with a lite dusting of compost. Be sure to keep the soil moist at all times. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
