Q: i have a cucumber plant that is green and looks healthy but the leaves are crinkly and hard almost like they're dried out. the stems on the plants are white and crusty. its been reallly hot in alaska this summer, and theyre in full sun all day and all night.. i know a lotof people say you can't grow them without a green house here but i have several starting on this plant, and i have two perfectly fine large cucumbers almost reaady to pick. are they safe to eat?
