Question From: R. Brayton - Westfield, Massachusetts, United States
Q: I've read on other websites that coffee grounds actually attract grubs, which henceforth attracts moles. So all the large buckets of coffee grounds I've saved this year can only be used sparingly on some of my plants (roses, rhododendrons etc.). Merit or a good ole fashion trap is the only effective mole prevention. Thank you.
A: I believe this is a wive's tail. Grubs eat the tender roots of grass and other plants, There is no way they could ingest coffee grounds. However, your roses and rhodies will be happy. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
