Question From: K. SCOTT - OREGON
Q: Every day for the past 2 weeks my mature douglas fir tree is dropping excessive amounts of green pinecones which i think are underdeveloped pinecones. they are also very sticky with sap. they drop in the morning hours only and will cover my driveway and surrounding area under the tree with cones. we have lived in this house for over 20 yrs and have never had this happen. what could be the problem?
A:
You need to get the advice of a certified arborist, a tree doctor and making an onsite inspection. Here is the website: http://www.isa-arbor.com/faca/findArborist.aspx - don't put it off - it cost big bucks to remove dead trees. Good Luck, Nancy
