Q: Hi Nancy, I put Duct Tape and vaseline around my tree truncks yesterday afternoon but I noticed the Gypsy moths still ate alot of leaves last night. It didn't seem to work. Doesnt look like they came down from the trees. Any thoughts?
A: The egg masses are laid in the bark of trees and the larvae hatched above your duct tape trap. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
