Q: My English ivy has tiny round white spots on its leaves. I have had this plant for several months and it is just now occuring. I do not know the variety but the leaves are very large. It is located on a porch but gets alot of bright day light. Thanks
A: Sounds like powdery mildew. It occurs in high humidity or hot, dry weather. Milk is the hot home remedy. One part whole or low fat milk to 2 parts water. Be sure to spray the undersides of the leaves. Repeat every 7 days. Sounds like your ivy is also getting too much sun. It's happiest in shade. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
