Question From: G. Brumbaugh - Marysville, Ohio, United States
Q: We have 2 Fragrant Viburnum (white blooms in spring) and they are side by side. Last summer one of the shrubs did not look as healthy as the others. This year this same shrub looks like the growth has been stunted with fewer smaller leaves and some leaves are curling. I cannot see anything on the shrub but attached some pictures. I am open to any suggestions. They are 5 years old and 4 feet high.

A: I you look at the roost, they are girdling the trunk and strangling it. The vascular system has been damaged, which is why the leaves are small. I recommend you replace it. Best Nancy
