Question From: Yuma, Colorado, United States
Q: I am loosing the grass under the tree. I do have night crawlers but that should be good. This has been going on for several years but does start to come back in the spring. Does not last long. The younger tree in the back is starting to do the same. Maybe there is a better grass to plant?
A: It is often impossible to grow grass under trees after they reach a certain size. Lack of sun is part of the problem and they are also unable to compete with the tree for water. Ground covers such as vinca minor or pachysandra are good options. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
