Question From: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States
Q: My honeysuckle leaves are coming back very dark almost black. Is this normal? I think the plant looks healthy, but am not an expert. thank you.
A: Unless you have a weird variety, your honeysuckle has a problem, probably a fungal disease as you read in Yardener.com under problems with Honeysuckle. Take samples bagged in a ziplock to your independent garden center or nursery for recommendations on a fungicide. Remove all infected leaves on the plant and the ground and be sure to spray the undersides of the leaves. Hopefully the plant will produce new leaves. Be sure to keep it well watered.
