Q: We had a bumper crop of acorns from our oak trees this year and now we have hundreds of little trees growing all over our property and lawn - even through the mulch. Is there a safe and environmentally responsible way to get rid of the little trees without spending weeks pulling them up?
A: Mowing the lawn will do it. Just keep cutting off the leaves and the seedlings will run out of steam. Cutting off the leaves will take care of those in the landscape. A weed whip will be your best tool for that job. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
