Q: Get rid of mealy bugs on hicksyew
A: Nancy, A strong stream of water will blast the little critters from the shrubs. The process should be repeated every three to four days for a couple of weeks to take care of any that may hatch out. Be sure to hit the undersides of the needles. If you choose to use a insecticide (Neem oil would be a good choice) you will still need to do it several times, so why not just use the stiff stream of water.
