Question From: Anna, Texas, United States
Q: Boston ivy bought last spring sid very badly, looked like it had every disease mentioned in yardener. Did not climb although had trellis. Had food mulch and etc. looked quite dead by end of season. Kept from pulling it out and thought it might do better this spring low and behold some leaves are coming up. How can i keep it disease free this year? Thanks in advance.
A: If you are able to identify the disease, go to your local independent nursery/garden center and ask them what products they have to control that specifice disease. I would choose one that is organic rather than chemical. Read the entire label and treat accordingly. Take care not to over fertilize as that will stress the plant even more.
