Question From: S. King - East Bergholt, England, United Kingdom
Q: Hi Nancy. wonder if you can give me some advice please . my Holly hocks were doing really well but they seemed to be all bunched up I read that they needed to be around 2 foot apart. i dug them up and replanted them giving them plenty of water . to my disappointment i came back from the shops to see them wiltering Im so upset. how can i help them to restore themselves to there? original glory?
A: You needed to thin them out when they first emerged in spring. Hollyhocks do not transplant well when in bloom. That said, keep them well watered and you might get lucky. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
