Q: I wantto prevent my petunias from getting "leggy". They are newly planted. Should I cut them back now, not worrying about the current blooms? Will they become more full that way?
A: If they are planted in the soil, not to worry. In hanging baskets I cut back four stems on the North. East. South and West every two weeks. Or you can wait until the 4th of July and cut the whole plant back. Using Jack's Classic Petunia Feed once every 10 days will also keep them happy. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
