Question From: D. Pasha - Detroit, Michigan, United States
Q: I have some late season purchases of Daylilies and Hostas that I was unable to plant due to illness. I would like to save them for next season to plant in their intended bed. How can I over-winter these plants. They are still in their nursery pots. I do have an unheated enclosed back porch. Thank you.
A: You should be able to overwinter them on your porch. Put a few ice cubes on the surface of the soil every couple weeks to keep the soil moist. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
