Question From: Americus, Georgia, United States
Q: Please give instructions for raising meal worms and for feeding them specifically to Carolina Wrens. They are my favorites, but all songbirds are welcome here in my yard. The wrens are here year-round in south Georgia and will eat suet and I want to provide them with live worms in the winter. Do you have a plan that will allow the wrens only to eat the worms?
A: Caroline, this is a gardening web-site and I have little experience raising meal worms. When my kids were little I raised some for their tiny lizard. Bought a couple dozen and tossed them in a box of oat meal. They just kept coming. I suggest you stop in at wild bird shop for more info. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
