Question From: Flora, Illinois, United States
Q: I have a nice three year old pin oak tree that has galls. How should I treat the tree to get rid of the galls?
A: Galls on the leaves are harmless and best left untreated. You can't see them from a galloping horse so rest easy and enjoy the summer. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
Q: The galls are on the branches. Is there a way to prevent them?
A: Mary Jane, Have your tree looked at by a certified arborist for an accurate I.D. and method of control. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
