Question From: D. Andreou - Grosse Pointe, Michigan, United States
Q: Hi Nancy love your articles.Question:why do all my neighbors hydrangeas have beautiful flowers and I have none.I have always had lots of flowers.Did I cut off the tops too late?
A: Diane, Thanks for the kind words. Just finished next week's column - about hydrangeas. If your hydrangeas are mop heads or oak leafs they must not be pruned after mid August To be safe I say the cut off is the end of July. Also, last winter many of the buds were killed by the polar vortex. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
