Q: My false cypress chamaecyparis pisifera 'Dow Whiting' inner leaves are turning yellow and brown around the trunk...did not see insects. What should I do to help please? It was beautiful and green this summer...just bought last year at this time. Thank you.
A: I recommend you have it inspected by a certified arborist. Evergreens are have been weakened from excessive heat and other cultural conditions making them vulnerable to diseases and insects.
