Q: I planted 4 foot tall Canaan fir trees in the outside row of our windbreak 4 years ago. They have done very well and now are about 7 feet tall. We have had abundant rains all summer long and I have not watered the trees. Within the last few weeks (today is Nov.1st) I have noticed that the inside needles on some of the trees are turning brown. It seems to start more on the bottom inside branches and work it's way up. Within just the last 4 weeks some of the trees needles are turning very brown to the point it looks like the tree is going to die. What should I do??
