Q: My Italian long red pepper (only one, to date) is mottled, but the leaves are fine. The 'Fish' and jalopena are fine (all growing in the same trough). The affected papper is otherwise looking healthy--no soft spots. The mottling is light yellow. Wish I could send a picture, but don't know how.
A: My guess is the combination of excessive heat and fluxuation of moisture has caused this spotting. It also happens with tomatoes. The other pepper plants may be out competing this one for moisture. It's probably fine to eat. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
