Q: I have white spots on the leaves of Joe pye plant. I have asked different sources, most said hopeless, get rid of plant. Are there any resolutions? I have enjoyed your talks when you were Romeo.
A: My guess is it is powdery mildew. Take photos or sample to an independent garden center for an accurate ID and control. It is not mortal and you do not have to dig out the plant. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
