Question From: Fulton, Maryland, United States
Q: my knock-out roses were doing terrible, not many roses and the plants did not look good. I cut them back and now they don't seem to be coming back much. I did fertilize them in spring.
A: They may have contracted the virus rose rosette. Once established it is fatal and the plants should be removed and disposed of in the garbage. The following website will give you more up to date information. Also google photos of rose rosette to help you confirm your roses have it. http://www.missouribotanicalgarden.org/gardens-gardening/your-garden/help-for-the-home-gardener/advice-tips-resources/pests-and-problems/diseases/viruses/rose-rosette.aspx - - Best Nancy
