Q: Hi Nancy, I have Bermuda tiff in my backyard but with two 11 month old lab puppies I now have a very large dead, almost just dirt areas that have a few spots of dead grass showing through. I spoke to one landscaper who said he could use a special high strength liquid fertilizer to bring it back? Can a fertilizer bring back dirt spots with just a few sprigs of grass trying to come thru? Im thinking just re-sodding the whole thing but how do I keep the dogs off for it to establish?
A: There is no way. Resodding is your answer. You will need to invest in one of those wireless electric fences. Do a Google search, there are many models and prices vary. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
