Question From: f. albini - MICHIGAN
Q: My tulip tree is several years old with about 1 1/2 foot trunk in dia. Tree was beautiful last year but we had a late frost this year after buds came out. Leaves that come out now seem stunted and get worse from bottom up to peak. They come out green then turn yellow with the veins green then they curl up and die. Now they have brown spots. I've added some fertilizer as suggested and watering about an hour at a time morning and night. because of dry spell. Am I over anxious or am I doing the right thing and have to give it time and still water at this rate?

A: Looks like it has a fungal disease. If it were my tree I would get an on-site inspection from a certified arborist. To find one go to tcia.org. and enter your zip code. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
