Q: for the past 2 years the leaves on the magnolia are getting smaller and smaller. the little buds this year are very tiny. the new shoots on the bottom have the standard size leaves. what could be the problem with the tree.
A: Linda, There could be many things wrong with your tree and I am not trained as a tree doctor, a certified arborist. I recommend you have a professional do an onsite inspection for an accurate assessment rather than a guess. It's a lot cheaper then replacing the tree.
