Q: Our mountain ash has a lot of new growth on the bottom of a mature tree. Is there any way to get ride of this other than constantly pruning it?
A: Bonide makes a product called Sucker Punch that when used according to package directions will help control suckering. Mature trees begin suckering when they are in stress. You might consider getting your tree checked out by a certified arborist. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
