Question From: L. Macintosh - Gosport, , United Kingdom
Q: Hello, we have just bought a mountain ash, and have planted it in a west facing garden. It is about 6ft tall at the moment, but I have noticed some of the leaves are going brown and curling, crumbling under my fingers. The rest of the plant seems well and there is new growth. Am I not watering enough?
A: Probably not. Crispy leaves usually indicate lack of water. Newly planted trees need watering once a day for a couple of week and then three times a week for several weeks if Mother Nature doesn't provide. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
