Question From: Londonderry, Vermont, United States
Q: I have perennial phlox that don't bloom. Stalks and leaves look healthy and the phlox accross the walk from them bloom well. soil conditions the same both sides of walk. Fertilized same as well.
A: Are they perhaps shaded by the house or a tree? The two most common reasons plants don't flower is lack of sun and too much nitrogen fertilizer. Phlox do not need much in the way of fertilizer. They may also be getting runoff or overspray when feeding the lawn. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
