Question From: WASHINGTON
Q: Hi Nancy We've planted Arborvitae (Tiny Tower) in large (20" dia) pots on our rooftop deck. We live in Seattle. They've been in the pots for ~ 1 month & some of the tips are yellowing; some of the interior leaves are brown. We water every other day. Any ideas?
A: You may be overwatering. Wind and baking hot sun may also be an issue. Overly wet soil is death to arbs. Excessive fertilizer (high nitrogen), such as miracle gro) can also burn the roots. Anything. sound familiar? Bet Nancy and Happy Yardening
