Question From: R. Kirkpatrick - Hooksett, New Hampshire, United States
Q: My potted geraniums look very bad. The leaves (specially young leaves) are turning yellow to brown and falling off. The blooms are also turning brown very fast. Also, it has been raining almost every day here in the northeast. What can I do to help them from dying. Thank you.

A: Looks like a fungal disease from too much water. Remove all infected material and dispose of it in the trash. Wipe blades of scissors with alcohol in between cuts so as not to spread it. Move the container into a protected area when it rains, or cover it. I'd take photos of the damage to and independent garden center for a fungicide recommendation for control.
