Question From: J. Ghalili - GEORGIA
Q: 2 summers ago I planted a red bud tree and was told not to remove the burlap sack around the root ball, now I can see my tree is suffering. Each spring I loose a branch. Half of the tree sprouts out but one branch doesn’t which means I have to cut it off. Help please, I don’t want to loose my tree.
A: Carefully remove the soil over the rootball and cut the burlap away. If you don't feel confident enlist the services of a certified arborist to do the job. To find one in your area go to www.tcia.org and enter your zipcode. Best Nancy and Nappy Yardening
