Question From: Livonia, Michigan, United States
Q: Like another questioner the robins are staying away from my serviceberries. This is the second year in a row. Before that it was a yearly feeding frenzy as they got close to being ripe. Now quite a few are ripe and ready to fall to the ground.
A: David., I am not an ornithologist, so I can't your question. My hunch is there is some other food source they like better, and a long cold spring delayed the ripening of fruit. Timing is everything in nature. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
