Question From: ARIZONA
Q: Our roses bud and blossom beautifully but they flowers blow very quickly, sometimes by the end of the day they open, often within a couple of days. How can we keep them vibrant on the bushes longer? We live in southern Arizona in the Sonoran desert at 3200 feet. Our roses get plenty of water and are shielded from the north light. Thanks.
A:
Excessive heat and sun in the afternoon can do that. Chemical fertilizers such as Miracle Gro can also blast blooms. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
