Question From: MICHIGAN
Q: Hi, Nancy. I enjoyed your container article (Detroit News August 28th - The Right Container Can Make A Plant Successful) and have found myself in a similar situation. I have larger pots for my containers ready to go next year. I just need to remember where they are and use them. I'm curious about the buckets you mentioned. Would you cut or drill drainage holes in them or leave them as is to keep them useful in the off-season?
A: You need to drill holes in the bottom or the plants will drown. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
