Q: if my geraniums are dried out should i cut if off the branch while the other stem is beautiful. one stem is beautiful and the other one is dried out. my geraniums are hanging in planters on my porch. how much water do you give to 4 geraniums in a planter of 24"
A: Cut away the dried out branches. There is no pat answer for how much water your pot takes. Depends on the soil, the weather, and the exposure. A water meter - available at garden centers will help. Water the pot well and water again when the meter registers just above dry. Some folks use their finger stuck in the soil. When it's dry to the first knuckle, it's time to water. Good Luck, Nancy
