Question From: D. Hitsky - Southfield, Michigan, United States
Q: Please settle an argument I am having with my husband. We have beautiful hardy hibiscus plants. Every once in a while, I have harvested some seeds from them. I started them inside the house by a sunny window and transplanted them, and yes, I have notched a few successes! I have seeds again and my husband is urging me to plant them outside, NOW claiming the ground keep them warm enough to safely sprout and grow. I disagree. What's your opinion?
A: You are correct Debbie. The soil temps should be 60 degrees or above. It varies by variety and specie. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
