Q: One of the trunks of my 25 year old river birch tree is leaning almost 45 degrees toward my house. I'm afraid it might topple over in a storm and damage my roof. Do they have strong roots to keep this from happening or should I have it removed?
A: I would not take a chance. Heavy winds even uproot deep rooted trees. Have it removed. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
