Q: Planted salvia that had flowers on them. Do I pinch the blossoms off now or later on? How long before new flowers come after pinching them off? Will the plants be bushier?
A: Pinching is a matter of choice. Some folks do it and yes you will have bushier plants, but it will be several weeks before you have more color. It is best done when the plants are very small. Why not pinch a couple of plants and see what happens, that way you will still have color. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
