Question From: D. Kustra - NEW YORK
Q: Hi Nancy: My wife and I are having a....discussion on the best way to refrigerate a cut sweet pepper. I say: Take everything out..seed ball and ribs! She is of the other camp and thinks (because of her... mother!) you should leave the seed ball and ribs intact. What's best? We both agree on using a paper towel. Thanks! I have never seen any data on the subject, but you might just do a test. Use one pepper and half it to be sure your test pieces are the same age. I would think the non-seeded pepper would have the edge as it has less "open wounds" to allow the entrance of bacteria. Hope this helps. Best and Happy Yardening, Nancy
