Q: We laid 30 yr and some 50 yr ground over fabric but want to use a soaker hose to water the numerous perrennials. Will water from soaker hose go through fabric or just puddle and the summer heat evaporate.
A: Install the soaker hose under the fabric. Problem with that landscape cloth is you will not be able to enrich the soil and it will block the flow of oxygen in the soil. Land scape cloth is not a good choice for perennials .. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
