Question From: D. Brandt - Glenmont, Ohio, United States
Q: We have a lot of very tall pine trees in our yard. There are thousands of 2-4" tips with green needles that are falling off many of the trees. Can you explain why this is happening? It has never done this before. we live in central ohio.
A: David, Your trees may be suffering drought, disease or insects or a combination of the latter. Different species of trees are vulnerable to different diseases and insects and timing of treatment varies. If they were my trees I would get an onsite inspection from a certified arborist. To find one in your area go to www.tcia.org and enter your zip code. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
